SENIOR PORTRAIT SESSION

WELCOME!!

I’m glad you’re here. Senior photography is more than just a photoshoot. It’s a celebration of your achievements, your personality, and the journey ahead. My goal is to create a fun and engaging environment where your unique style and personality can shine through.
This guide will help you prepare with tips on styling, scheduling, and making the most of your senior session. You’ll know what to expect and how to show up feeling confident and comfortable.

Preparing For Your Session
Getting comfortable from the start
Most seniors feel a little unsure at first, and that’s completely normal. Your session isn’t about performing or posing perfectly. It’s about showing up as yourself and easing into things at a pace that feels comfortable.
When you arrive, we’ll take a few minutes to settle in. I’ll walk you through what we’re doing, where we’ll start, and what the flow looks like. You don’t need to know how to pose — I’ll guide you with simple direction and small prompts so nothing feels forced.
If you’re bringing different outfits or props, we’ll look through everything together. This helps us choose what to start with and what fits each spot we’re shooting in. A little planning at the beginning keeps everything relaxed once we get going.
The goal is to help you feel comfortable, confident, and ready to enjoy your session. Once we get past the first few minutes, everything starts to feel natural.

Styling Your Session

If you take one thing away from this section, let it be this: wear something that feels like you and feels comfortable. Everything else is optional.
New outfits are totally fine, but pieces you already love usually photograph best. Well-fitted, comfortable clothing always works better than something you’re unsure about.
If sports, music, theater, or cultural traditions are a big part of your life, feel free to bring something that reflects that. These items help tell your story in a natural, easy way.
Choose shoes that make sense for where we’re shooting, and don’t worry about going barefoot if the location feels right. Bringing a couple of outfits gives us options and variety.
The main goal is simple: feel good, move comfortably, and show up as yourself.
Choosing Locations
The best senior session locations are the ones that feel like you. Some seniors love open fields and natural spaces. Others prefer something modern like a downtown area, small businesses, staircases, or rooftops. If you already have a spot in mind, great. If not, I’m happy to give suggestions.
Think about places that fit your style — outdoorsy, artistic, sporty, classic, or more editorial.
Changing locations during your session gives us variety, so feel free to choose more than one if it fits your vision.
Here are a few favorite spots in Warner Robins and Macon

Forest Hill Park
The Wedding Barn at L'Horne

SUNSETS & SESSIONS
Most senior sessions are scheduled around the softest light of the day. That’s usually about two hours before sunset. This timing gives you even light, warm tones, and fewer harsh shadows.
If sunrise works better for your schedule, that’s a great option too. Morning light is clean and flattering.
Please plan to arrive on time. Evening light moves quickly, and starting on schedule helps us make the most of it. If we’re shooting earlier in the day, we’ll rely more on shaded areas or indoor spots to keep the light even.
We’ll walk through the plan together so you always know what’s next.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

Once your session is finished, you can relax — the rest is on me. Here’s what you can expect next:
Preview Images
You’ll receive a small set of previews within the week. These are great for sharing and give you a quick look at how everything turned out.
Full Gallery Delivery
Your full gallery will be ready in about 2–3 weeks. It will be delivered through a private online link where you can view, download, and order prints.
Image Selection
If your session includes a set number of images, you’ll be able to pick your favorites directly inside your gallery. If you end up loving more than your collection includes, you can upgrade or purchase additional images anytime.
Ordering Prints
You can order high-quality prints right from your gallery. This is the easiest way to get accurate colors and clean, professional results.
If you have questions once your gallery arrives or want help choosing which images to print, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to help.
