my philosophy

My approach to photography is about slowing down and capturing the real, in-between moments that tell your story.

 

I believe photography has a gentle kind of power, the ability to remind us that beauty isn’t something we have to create. It’s already here, woven into the everyday moments we tend to rush past.


When I photograph families, my hope is that you’ll see what I see: how your child reaches for you without thinking, how your partner looks at you when you’re not watching, how much love already lives in the space you’ve built together.


Every session is designed to be easy and unhurried ,  a space where you can breathe, be present, and reconnect with what really matters. I’ll guide when you need it, but mostly, I’ll help you slow down long enough to notice what’s been there all along.

 

Parenthood is filled with irreplaceable moments that can slip away with time. I’m here to help you capture and keep them vivid.

Frequently Asked Questions

 

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

You’re not alone , most people I photograph haven’t done this before!  I’ll guide you through everything, from what to wear to how to relax in front of the camera.

There’s no need to practice poses or worry about “getting it right.” The best photos come when you’re just being yourselves — laughing, cuddling, or letting the kids run around a little.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions take place at outdoor locations, in-home settings, or select studio spaces. If you need location recommendations, I have a curated list of places that offer the best lighting and atmosphere for a timeless, storytelling feel.

can you TRAVEL FOR OUR SESSION?

I love hitting the road for sessions. Typically, I stick around our main location, but I'm totally up for an adventure. If you're within a 3.5-hour drive, I'm in! Just keep in mind, there might be a small additional fee to cover travel expense.

Do you offer extended family sessions?

I don't currently offer extended family sessions. My focus is on creating a personalized and meaningful experience for smaller families of up to 6, allowing me to really connect with each family member and capture the intimate moments.

What if my kids don’t cooperate?

 

No stress at all! Kids are naturally unpredictable, and that’s part of the beauty. I create a relaxed, playful environment with gentle direction and fun prompts to keep everyone engaged and enjoying the experience.

What if the weather is bad?

 

If the weather isn’t ideal, I’ll reach out with options. Overcast days are actually perfect for photos (hello, dreamy light!), and if rescheduling is necessary, I’ll make sure we find a new date that works.
